Baby rescue wildlife grows up
#1
Vancouver Wildlife Rehab takes in a number of baby animals each year. They raise them until they are ready to be released. This time they have posted pictures showing how a couple of their rescues  actually grow up.

After watching this, I realize the baby raccoons I see in my neighbourhood each year, are much older than I thought. They are two months or more before they even look like proper raccoons. Their mothers keep them hidden until they are ready to start finding their own food with her help.

The Vancouver Wildlife Rehab has plans to show videos of other animals in their care. This is part of a fundraising initiative. Baby animals can be expensive to feed. Their milk bill alone is $50,000 dollars.  I wish them every success in raising enough to feed all the little critters that come their way.
