Dog dragged behind car, man now in custody

First, the dog is injured, but okay. People were horrified when they saw a man in a car, dragging his dog by its leash. People reacted and the dog was rescued. The guy sped off, but he was caught very quickly. He will face multiple charges. The bystanders rushed the dog to an emergency vet where he is receiving treatment.

This is a terrible case of cruelty. It is also a case of good people reacting quickly to help an animal in need. 
As soon as I hear how the dog is doing I will let you know. I am sure we will soon know more about the charges against the man.
When this is all over I can't wait to hear that the dog has a new loving home. 

I still find it hard to believe that someone would do this to a dog. I hope there is some jail time in his future.

It really breaks my heart when I hear of crimes like this.  I am glad to hear the dog is safe now and being treated, and importantly is no longer with that man. Poor dog.
My kind wishes to that dog and hope a happy loving home is waiting.

As you can see, it was a tiny dog. The man was aggressive about continuing the abuse, but people stopped him.
It is still not clear what charges he will face, but he will face charges. 

The dog continues to be looked after by a vet and is doing okay. People are offering to pay the vet bills and offers of a loving home are coming in.
Sky will end up in a loving home where he will be cherished for the rest of his life.
