"Blind Boxes" with 100 pets rescued in China
#1
A shipment of 100 pets in boxes was abandoned in Shanghai, outside a residential area.  The delivery person had torn up the sipping information.  Some of the pets had already died.  Local volunteers and veterinarians arrived to rescue the animals. In total 71 cats and 36 dogs were rescued.
It is illegal to ship pets like this in China, but it still keeps happening.
This is not the first incident like this to happen this year.

They need to make it seriously illegal to ship live pets like this. The consequences need to be more than a small fine.
People also need to stop ordering live boxes. The animals don't always survive the shipping and they often do not last long even if they do.
It is cruel and it encourages puppy and kitten mills to produce the pets that are shipped.
I can't even imagine how traumatic this must be for an animal that is shipped.
It must be stopped.

Silly humans pay money for "blind boxes", as part of a fad. Then animals suffer horribly. That is the root of the problem. Stricter legislation would help.

Perhaps if those ordering, not just the delivery company and the animal suppliers, were prosecuted, then this awful commerce in animal suffering could be stopped.

I agree. They need to go after the people who order these boxes. If no one ordered them, there would  be no market for them and no money to be made. Companies would soon stop selling them.
Even if the animal survives, the whole practice is cruel.
