Cats hold blender hostage
It seems a couple bought a new Vitamix Blender before Christmas. They brought it home in a big box and they placed that big box on the kitchen floor. Their three cats have claimed it and that is that. At least one cat is on the box at all times and will not move. The cats take turns and they all want to be there on the box.
They may never get to use their blender because the cats are not giving up.

It has actually become a hilarious stand-off. In theory they could just move the cats, but I have lived with cats. I am not sure that would work out for them.
Cats have a way of getting their own way or making you wish you had given them their own way.
The Vitamix company is sending some identical, but empty boxes. The idea is to fool the cats. Do you really think it is possible to fool a cat?

The cats are still winning. The refuse to give up the Vitamix box. It looks like they may be in the process of claiming the ice-cream maker box.

Maybe the solution is to buy 4 blenders. That way each cat could have one and the people could have their own blender.
After all, cats don't really share.

It seems that the blender standoff has been resolved.  They got themselves another blender and let the cats have the old one.

They were probably wise to get another blender. After all, when we go out our cats are home alone. Three cats angry about a blender box would be a bit scary. They could do anything. Cats do hold grudges and they would probably learn how to use the blender with the lid off. I did that once and created a bread crumb tornado. These three cats looked smart enough to do anything.
