Covid testing center shut down by venomous snakes
#1
I can't decide if this is funny or weird. A covid testing center in Sydney had to be shut down temporarily when venomous snakes were discovered on the premises. A  group called Australian Snake Catchers were called in and the Red Bellied Black Snakes were safely caught and safely released.  They were all very pretty snakes and some were even babies. They are back where they belong in the wild and the covid testing center can get back to testing.

It says a lot that there is a company called Australian Snake Catchers. Australia does have a lot of snakes. The snakes and other reptiles are also protected by law.
We may not want to share our office space with a snake, but we don't want to hurt it either.

If this was Toronto, the testing center would have been shut down by raccoons and we would have called in one of our many raccoon removal companies.
Somehow it doesn't sound quite as dramatic. They would have been safely released too. Our raccoons are protected by law, even the one that regularly dines in my garbage can.
