Australia to set aside 30% of land for conservation efforts.
#1
Australia announced it plans to set aside 30% of its land for conservation efforts. The plan is to focus on saving 110 species.
The number of endangered species has been growing steadily. This is part of a ten-year plan to halt extinctions and improve the outcomes for endangered species.

It is an ambitious plan, and it focuses on certain species. However, if you protect the habitat of a particular species, that same habitat is protected for the other species that live there. The plan to set aside land may be the key to conservation. Animals that have a place to live and grow will survive.
It will be interesting to watch how this plan progresses.

The whole planet needs to be setting aside land as habitats for endangered species. Let us hope this example influences other countries.
