Target stores committed to using eggs from cage free hens and pork that did not come from gestation crates. In other words, they were not going to sell the products of intense factory farming. They have not made the change even though other big companies have changed. The public does not want products from intense factory farming and big companies are responding to that. Target has not kept its promise.

Target has not even started to change. They clearly had no commitment to animal welfare. They were just telling people what they wanted to hear, with no intention of doing anything. The only way to deal with companies like this is to stop shopping in their stores. It is the only message they will listen to.
The Humane Society of the United States is leading protests against Target to force them to do the right thing. With enough pressure they will change.
