In 2019 PETA investigated the treatment of animals at the tourist sites in Egypt. Camels and horses used in tourist rides are treated horribly
After PETA exposed the abuse, the government promised to reform the situation.
So in 2023-2024 PETA returned to see how much things had improved for the animals.
It had not improved at all!

This is one of those situations where we can only help improve things by refusing to be part of the abuse.
DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN CAMEL AND HORSE RIDES IN EGYPT!
I would say go further that that and refuse to visit Egypt or any country that abuses animals like that.
Anywhere where there are tourist animal rides, there seems to be animal abuse. If they have to go together, then reject the rides.
If the animals stop making money they will stop using them.
This will only continue if we continue to support it.
