Sign the petition to end the Ghadhimai animal slaughter.

Ghadhimai is an animal slaughter that takes place in Nepal every 5 years. For two days people will gather outside and watch as thousands of animals are hacked to death. The animals are not well cared for before the slaughter. During the slaughter, animals are brutally killed. Those that survive the longest get to watch the others die until it is their turn.

There are protests every time the festival takes place. Sometimes protesters even save some animals. Globally the slaughter is condemned.
The Nepal government is against it. Now they need to outlaw it. While it is still allowed it will still go on. There always seem to be people willing to commit acts of animal cruelty. I would worry about the kind of people who take place in a slaughter like this. I would worry about the fact that they bring young children to watch the slaughter. What would that do to a child?

Because it is every five years, sometimes it seems like it is over. Then I come across a petition like this and I realize that Ghadhimai is still happening.
How is it possible that people still take part in such a cruel event.
What will it take to stop it?
