Fifteen Grey Wolves were captured in BC and transferred to Colorado. The wolves in Colorado are endangered. In BC they have been culling the wolves.
This is a much better solution.
Colorado voters approved of the wolf reintroduction, but there is still some opposition. Sadly two of the wolves have been illegally shot.

Maybe Colorado has learned a lesson from the wolf reintroductions at Yellowstone National Park.
The wolves has stabilized the ecosystem. A pack of wolves could do a lot for Colorado.
It is sad that negative stereotypes about wolves are resulting in wolves being shot.
We have so much to learn about the effects of keystone species on the environment.
Colorado recognized that it needs wolves. They got them from BC where they are having wolf culls.
I am glad that BC is cooperating and sending the wolves rather than kill them. I just wish they would learn from Colorado and recognize that they need the wolves. The caribou are not dying out because of the wolves. They are dying out because of human activity and habitat loss.
