Abandoned bunnies never left each other's side

A pair of rabbits was abandoned in the cold. They had no idea what to do or where to go.
Domestic rabbits are not like wild rabbits. They are not even the same species.
Fortunately, Snickerdoodles Rabbit Rescue was alerted. They managed to catch the rabbits and bring them in from the cold.
You could tell they were relieved to be inside and happy to be safe again. They received the care that they needed and were placed in a foster home.
The foster parents fell in love with them and now they have a forever home together.

I am glad this story had a happy ending. Sadly it often ends badly for abandoned rabbits.
They have no survival skills or ability to look after themselves. They have been looked after all their lives. They come form many generations of rabbits that have been looked after. I am glad that there are groups like Snickerdoodles Rabbit Rescue that are willing to go out and rescue abandoned rabbits.
If the people couldn't keep or even didn't want their rabbits, there are rabbit rescues and animal shelters that would have taken them.
There is never any good reason for abandoning a pet.
