The fires in LA have passed, but animal rescue efforts are still going on. Animal Control is out there checking homes that are standing in case there are animals in need. The Pasadena Humane Society ended up taking in hundreds of animals. They have already reunited some pets with their owners, but it will take time to sort them all out.

It is remarkable how much the community has come together to rescue and care for animals. People are donating time, supplies and money.
Foster homes are caring for as many animals as they can. They have even put together a pet pantry so they can give out pet food to people who are in need.
It will take a lot to rebuild and restore all that has been lost. Just helping pets to go home is a big step towards normal life.
