Saving Australia's bees on hotel at a time

A young Australian ecologist has earned the nickname, the Bee Man for his interest and work to preserve bees in Australia. He travels from town to town building Bee Hotels and educating people about bees. His interest grew when he realized how much bee populations had declined and how badly that was effecting everything. Gradually he is teaching people to make space in their lives for the bees.

His conservation hero and inspiration is our dear departed Steve Irwin. Steve is still with us in spirit, inspiring new generations to care about animals and ecology.
Saving the bees is critical. So much else depends on the bees. Teaching people to build Bee Hotels and welcome them in their gardens is going to make a big difference. It is a little thing everyone can do. If everyone welcomes the bees, the bees will be able to make a comeback.
It is good to know that there are people out there making a difference.
