Cats just seem to go with bookshops. The people who go to bookshops seem to like cats.
What could be more fun than sitting reading a good book? Having a purring cat would make it more fun.
Shopping for books is an adventure. Having a cat companion on hand to share the experience would make it more fun.
I am sure a cat would help me make book choices. When I am not sure about a book, a quick meow would would remind me of something important. 
I have never regretted the books I have bought. I only regret the ones I  failed to buy.

It is a good list. but they missed Marley from Marley and Me. Who wouldn't love a goofy dog who could tear up floors and eat telephones. I cried when he died. There are so many loveable animals that we have grown to love over the years. If we named them all, it would be a very long list.]]>
