The documentary, Sentient, played at the Sundance film festival. It examines animal testing carefully. It presents all sides of the issue.
It interviews many people working in animal testing. It is surprising how much they are against it. They can't take it anymore.
The film also made it clear that animal testing does not give good results. I was shocked by the numbers, 95% of drugs that pass animal testing, fail in humans.
Some even prove to be harmful to humans.
The film maker asks the question, do we have a right to test on animals, even if we feel we have a need.

Pangolin: Kulu's Journey, is a new Netflix documentary. It follows the experiences of a Pangolin rescued from wildlife traffickers. It takes many months of work to rewild a pangolin. They do not eat in captivity so they must be taken out into the bush for long walks to learn how to find food.
The documentary hopes to teach us about Pangolins.
They are the second most trafficked animal in the world. Efforts are being made to rescue and rehabilitate Pangolins.
Traffickers are receiving stronger sentences to discourage the poaching of Pangolins.
By showing the Pangolin trade through the experiences of Kulu, it is hoped that people will be moved to care about all pangolins.

Black cats have trouble getting adopted at shelters. They are over looked, picked last and still the subject of superstition.
The movie Flow features a Black Cat, called Cat, as its star. Shelters have noticed a surge in black cat adoptions as a result.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but if it helps back cats find homes I am in favor of it.
It s a pretty good list, but they left out the Littlest Hobo, the German shepherd who wandered from town to town doing good.
There are animals that were the stars of the show. Flipper the dolphin comes to mind. There are animals that were a part of the show and they made the show better. There is no doubt that animals make things better. When it comes to TV and movies that is definitely true.

Movies and TV shows frequently have pets in them. Here is a list of some of the top favorites. Some are real and some are cartoon. Do we love the cartoon ones and less? I don't think so.
It is a good list. but they missed Marley from Marley and Me. Who wouldn't love a goofy dog who could tear up floors and eat telephones. I cried when he died. There are so many loveable animals that we have grown to love over the years. If we named them all, it would be a very long list.
