There are a lot of strays in Shanghai. Catching them and neutering them is a start. Then the cats are taken to Cat Island. It is a whole island where cats can live safely until they are adopted. They have comfortable houses and they are getting regular food and care. Some cats end up in cat cafes where people can interact with them before taking them home.

There are no Humane Societies. There are few laws to protect animals. This is a tremendous shift in thinking. People are wanting pets and they are choosing strays that need homes. The cat island would be a wonderful place to visit. How could you choose just one cat.
