Rare Hawksbill turtle returned to the ocean - Catherine - 04-02-2026

In December, three Hawksbill turtles were found stranded on an Australian beach. They were gravely ill and two of them didn't survive. With care, the turtle, named Bear, was restored to health. Now after all these months, Bear was able to be released back into the ocean.

Hawksbill turtles are critically endangered and saving even one of them is a big thing. 
Bear is a female and there is always the hope that she will grow up and lay eggs.
Foe now, thanks to her rescuers, she is back in the ocean where she belongs.
