We always hear stories  of human heroes rescuing animal who are in danger. It seems animals will do the same for us. In some cases the animals were pets and had a bond with the humans. There are cases however of animals helping a stranger.

We underestimate animals and their motivations. The seals, whales and dolphins who help humans have nothing to gain from their actions. They clearly just want to help. I hope next time I need help there is  a friendly animal near by.
