Happy World Bee Day!

May  20 has been chosen as World Bee Day
https://www.fao.org/world-bee-day/en

It is important that we celebrate our pollinator friends. Without bees the world would be a very different place.
Much of our food is dependent on bees. Many plants cannot complete their life cycle without bees.
If you do anything today, plant something for the bees. Leave the dandelions and other early flowering plants for the bees.

This is a global celebration because bees are a global issue. The health of our bees matters all around the world.

Every country must do its part to protect bees.
Each of us has a responsibility to help save our bees.

We would be in trouble without them. I love watching them work. I have noticed this spring that bees  fly over the gardens and check to see if things are in bloom yet. We are having a late spring so they have to find the flowers that are ready.
