As you say, a ray of compassion. It is a great pity that others in the country seem more intent on killing each other (or even worse, executing foreigners who are there to help with supplies or medical care). So that makes this man all the more unique. Blessings to him!

It is wonderful to learn that in the midst of a terrible conflict, someone is caring for animals, in this case cats. I guess they are pets that were left behind.
I wish they could be airlifted to safety, but we can't even get people out.
