This year there are low numbers of Monarch butterflies arriving in Canada. Monarch butterflies have an incredibly long migration route. To survive the species needs Milkweed. Humans of course have eradicated much of the Milkweed. If we are going to save the Monarchs we need to work fast to save the Milkweed. It is the only thing the caterpillars feed on.

We have been working on spreading Milkweed in Toronto. That effort needs to continue through all parts of the Monarch migration route.
If we don't help them, we are going to lose them. If you are anywhere on the Monarch butterfly route, please plant Milkweed. Plant seeds, plant small plants, anything will help. It is not too late to plant this year. Please do it now.
