Calgary pet charity robbed

Parachutes for Pets, a Calgary based charity, provides accessible programs and assistance for low income families to help them care for their pets.
A woman can in with a dog that she said was in distress. The volunteer at the front desk ran to get help. The woman grabbed cash and donations and took off.
The charity has asked for help from the community so that they can still run their Thanksgiving program.  Every year they run Petsgiving so that people can treat their pet well for Thanksgiving even if they have limited resources.

I think this is a great charity. There is so much need now. Without help many people couldn't keep their pets. 
I wonder what kind of person robs a pet charity. They are either very nasty or they are really in need. 
If they were in need, the charity would have helped them. It is sad that trust was broken like that.
They will have to be more careful with their money.
