When Simon first saw a Flemish Giant Rabbit he knew he had to have one. Good thing he did.
Dory was a baby bunny when he brought her home, but she soon grew to 10 kg.
She was a great pet, always hungry and a little destructive, but really wonderful to live with.
Then one night, Simon slipped into a Diabetic coma. His wife thought he had fallen asleep, but Dory knew.
She jumped up on his chest and jumped up and down, licked his face and just went crazy trying to get a response.
His wife reacted and got help in time. Simon recovered. Without Dory's quick reaction he could have died.
Probably would have died. She saved his life.

Rabbits are smarter than we realize. Dory could tell Simon wasn't sleeping. Probably she could smell the chemical changes that come with a Diabetic Coma.
She knew it wasn't normal and she reacted. Not too many of us can say our pet saved our life.
Sadly Dory didn't have a long life, but she did good with the time she had.
