A Guga is a juvenile Gannet. Every year on a remote Scottish island, they hunt and killĀ Gugas. The birds have not yet fledged so they are taking them from their nests. They are being used for food, but it is still a cruel hunt.

There is something inherently wrong about taking a baby bird from its nest while it is still helpless. Calling it a hunt is ridiculous. It is a slaughter.
It rates up there with the Canadian seal hunt and the Icelandic whale hunt. They are cruel. It is time we stopped doing cruel things to animals.
We are capable of doing better. So why aren't we doing better.
