Humpback whale freed in a two day rescue
#1
A humpback Whale was entangled by ropes and buoys off of the coast of Australia.
It took two days, but they were finally able to cut the whale free so it could continue its migration.

I am glad that had a happy ending. Too often they are unable to rescue a whale from entanglement or it is badly injured by the ropes. Many whales don't survive entanglement. In this case the whale was able to swim off free thanks to the efforts and dedication of the rescuers.
Well done!
