Astronaut reunited with her dogs after 9 months in space

When Suni Williams went up  to the International Space Station, it was supposed to be a short trip. It ended up being 9 months.
Mostly we worried about the astronauts. Sometimes we thought about their families. I did not know Suni had dogs on Earth who were waiting and worrying abut her.

This whole ordeal may have been harder on the dogs than anyone else. Everyone else knew what was going on.
The dogs knew she was away. They probably believed she would come back. However, she was gone a very long time. They must have wondered if she was ever coming back. And then she was back. They are just so happy to see her again.
I am glad the astronauts made it back safe. I am even more happy now that I know there were dogs waiting for  their safe return.
