Rabbits with horns?
#1
People have been noticing rabbits with odd horn like growths in Colorado. They have been calling them Frankenstein Bunnies and Zombie Bunnies.
It brings to mind the Jackelope stories about a possible antelope jack rabbit cross(totally impossible).
It turns out it is a simple virus that causes wartlike growths. They are not really horns. They don't hurt the rabbits. The rabbit immune systems will eventually
get rid of them.

I am glad the rabbits are going to be fine. Now I know where the jackelope story come from. I heard it when I visited Colorado in the 1970s.
You have to wonder if other odd animal myths have some simple explanation.
