Florida decided to control its bears by issuing hunting permits. Most people in Florida were against it. Animal rights groups having been fighting it.
Between Dec 5 and Dec 28 hunters were out there killing bears. At least 52 bears were killed. The Florida Fish and Wildlife are calling it a success. The hunters were allowed to us bait traps, dog packs and archery.

It was clearly not a fair or humane hunt. Dogs and bait and archery are barbaric. When they held the same hunt in 2015, 300 bears were killed, many pregnant females or females with cubs. Not humane! Images of the hunters gloating over the dead bears is disgusting.
These are not hunters. They are butchers. It is a sad day for the bears.
