Researchers found out that the Eastern Bumble Bee can survive being submerged in water.
This would really help them survive when hibernating. Spring flooding would not kill them.
Now researchers want to confirm whether other bumble bee species can survive being submerged.

I can't say I like the research they did. It seems a little unfair to the bees. The information they gained is good. Perhaps they could find better ways to learn these things, without harming any bees.
