Black cats have trouble getting adopted at shelters. They are over looked, picked last and still the subject of superstition.
The movie Flow features a Black Cat, called Cat, as its star. Shelters have noticed a surge in black cat adoptions as a result.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but if it helps back cats find homes I am in favor of it.
