Happy Thanksgiving, adopt a turkey, don't eat it
#1
Today is Thanksgiving in he USA and hundreds of thousands of turkeys will be slaughtered and eaten.
There is a new movement now to adopt the turkey and pay for it to live at a farm sanctuary.
Instead of being stuffed, the turkeys are cuddled.

I can't believe how beautiful the turkeys are and how happy they look being snuggled.
We never think about turkeys as loving animals. We just think of them as food.
Even if the adopt a turkey idea only reaches a small percentage of the population, it still means life for thousands of turkeys.
I just looked it up and 46 million turkeys are killed each year for Thanksgiving.
Even if only a few are saved each year, it does send the message that turkeys want to live and they can have happy lives.
