Animals are forever getting themselves in the news. Animals in the UK were especially newsworthy in 2025.
There is everything from the tallest donkey and heaviest Husky to a Flamingo who is on the wing and was last seen in France.
An accidental Emu egg purchase resulted in a 6 ft bird named Jonathan. It was an interesting year.

The best was the litter of guide dogs born, there were 13 of them. There is a real need for guide dogs. Having that big a litter is a very good thing.
Hatching an Emu must have been an interesting experience. I can't even imagine what a 13 stone dog would look like. There is a lot of him to love.
