Badgers are a protected species in England. They require special care. The public should never bring one home as a pet. Even if the person is trying to help the animal, bringing it home is the wrong thing to do.
Recently a Badger was removed from a private home, in terrible condition. He was not being fed properly and he would have died. A lot of his fur had fallen out so he has the nickname of Baldie. With proper care, he is doing better.
If you fine a badger in trouble, call a proper wildlife rescue. They will know what to do.

I know we have the idea that we should rush in and save every animal we see. We think animals are in distress when they are not. We think babies are abandoned when they are not. We end up doing more harm than good. Just feeding the wrong food can damage or even kill an animal.
In the case of a protected animal, we are even doing something illegal.
So, leave the badgers alone, and any other wildlife.
