The Human Society of the United States was called in to help when the owner of the Grand River Fur Exchange died.
Over 300 animals were found in horrific conditions. There were foxes, Raccoons, wolf/dog hybrids, Skunks, Opossums and Coyotes.
Animals were injured, starving, dehydrated and some were already dead. Some animals were humanely euthanized during the rescue. In the end 330 animals were successfully rescued and placed in suitable sanctuaries.

This is what happens when an industry is poorly regulated. There is no oversite to ensure humane treatment of the animals.
The animals are being raised to be killed for their fur and there is no regulation to ensure they are killed humanely.
Their fur is being used for fashion and decorations.
No animals should be forced to endure that kind of suffering and especially not for such trivial reasons.
It is time that we stop using animals like this. We have no right to inflict such pain and misery on another being.
