Sadly a farmer struck and killed a Hare. When he checked the Hare was a female and she was dead, but she was clearly pregnant and he could see the babies still moving inside her. He acted quickly and delivered them by caesarian. There were two, but only one survived. The Scottish SPCA can and got him and he is doing well under their care. They named him Bruno and hope he can be returned to the wild soon.

The farmer was a very caring and courageous person. Not everyone will check on an animal like that.
Acting to give the Hare's babies a chance was a beautiful thing to do. I am not sure most people would be able to do what he did. They wouldn't know how.
As a farmer he had a lot of experience with animals. Little Bruno is alive because of him. I hope the little Hare can return to the wild and have a happy life.
