Calgary zoo has been doing Penguin walks for the last 14 years. The birds leave their enclosure and walk around the zoo. In the wild, Penguins walk a lot so this
is natural for them. Over the years the zoo has changed the route and the times t suit what the penguins want. It is voluntary. Any bird that doesn't want to go, doesn't go. The penguins love it and so do the people.

I admit I would love to see a group of penguins out for a walk. I get excited about one dog out for a walk.
Penguins would be too cute.
