The city of Norwich is caught up in a pigeon controversy. Some people love them and feed them. Some people are against them and have even hurt them.

Norwich is not the only place struggling with pigeons. Most people seem to be either for or against them.
They are not something that it is easy to ignore. They are beautiful and interesting, but they can also be a nuisance.
We need to find a balance. It is not okay to feed them so that their numbers become unmanageable. The birds suffer when this happens.
It is not okay to harm them and make their lives miserable. Again the birds suffer. Maybe we need a global pigeon conference to discuss how to manage our pigeon populations. There must be humane ways to coexist with the birds.
