Mountain Gorilla gives birth to twins

There is cause for celebration in Virunga National park. Twin new born Mountain Gorillas were discovered two months ago. Now another female has given birth to twins. Two sets of twins in one season! The troop is being carefully monitored and  protected.

I can remember sitting at my first computer crying because poachers had just killed a number of mountain gorillas. Now we are celebrating the birth of two sets of twins.
The mountain gorillas are still endangered, but things are looking up.
