Service dogs promote accessibility at dog shows
#1
Marla Smith gets around in an electric wheel chair. She has two service dogs, Kuno and Chesnyy. They are well trained so she takes them to dog shows to do obedience trials. They do very well at the trials. More importantly, they send a strong message about service animals and people with disabilities.
Their presence promotes accessibility.

The way to promote accessibility is for people to be out there in public in spite of their disabilities. Being there with service dogs teaches people about service dogs and the work they do. Some day this won't be necessary, but for now it is important that people see and understand service animals. There have been far too many incidents where service animals are banned or disrespected.
