Trumpeter Swan visits New York City
#1
Trumpeter swans were nearly extinct 100 years ago. They haven't been seen in some places in many years.
Some swans have been released and they are repopulating their natural habitat.
One lone sawn made it to New York. It is a first.

Hopefully this swan is the first of many visitors. Someday they won't be visitors, they will be at home in their natural habitat.
The Trumpeter Swan release has been a real success story. Not only are the numbers increasing, they are expanding their territory.
