Ball Python found in city water treatment plant.
#1
A worker in the Windsor, Ontario Water Treatment plant regularly inspects things. Good  thing he is so careful. He found a Ball Python who was in desperate need of rescue. Ball Pythons are originally from Africa so a water treatment plant in Canada would not be ideal conditions. The snake is now in the care of Essex County Humane Society and is expected to make a full recovery.

They think the snake went down a storm drain and ended up in the plant. That would make sense. He would have been outside and seeking somewhere to hide.
Was he out by accident or was he dumped? That we don't know. Snakes are escape artists. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and is adopted to a good home.
He has many more years of life ahead of him.

Good news, the owner of the python has come forward and the snake will be going home. The snake is called peanut and he has been missing since May 13.
The snake was fed and then when the owner checked, the tank was empty.

Snakes are escape artists. It is fortunate that this ended well. We will never know how Peanut ended up in a sewage treatment plant.
We know there is an interesting story here, but Peanut will never tell.
