Wolf euthanized after it attacks a human

This is sad. In northern Saskatchewan, a wolf attacked a person. The person was in the wolf's area and was not badly hurt. 
The wolf was trapped and euthanized.

I suppose they killed the wolf to be sure it didn't have rabies. That could be one justification for killing the wolf.
I don't know if they are sure they caught the right wolf.
Definitely they need to teach the people how to deal with wolves and other wildlife. Should the person have been out alone like that.
Maybe the fault is not with the wolf, but rather with the human who was not where he was supposed to be.
