I have to say I didn't know of him, but bless his heart. Anyone who is a champion of and cares for animals of any description, has my respect.
I'm thinking of him now, in the spirit world, surrounded by adoring guinea pigs! They'll all be there. All of them!
God bless you, Peter Gurney.
It is our deeds, the accumulated acts of goodness and kindness that define us and ultimately are the true measure of our worth. Service is the coin of the spirit.

Even years after his death his web pages are still on line because he was so knowledgeable. He did love his guinea pigs.
No doubt he was swarmed by wheeking piggies when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I am glad we are honoring him.
I am going to use this as a time to remember the guinea pigs who have shared my life. They are gone, but they will never be forgotten.

I hadn't heard of Peter Gurney -most likely because I never had Guinea Pigs.
But I am sure this man would have been absolutely surrounded by many loving Souls on his passing! It is nice his web pages are still there for others.

I must confess, I hadn't heard of him either until I saw this thread. But what a wonderful man! Many blessings to him for all the great work he did.

He just seemed to understand guinea pigs and really loved them.
Every species should have its own Peter Gurney.
