Cats scared of cucumbers!

I am wondering what the cats think the cucumbers are. Their reactions are so extreme. I personally don't like cucumbers so hissing at them would make sense, but these cats all went crazy to get away from the cucumber.
Maybe there is more to cucumbers than we know and cats are the first to figure it out. Catherine

Aw! Cucumbers are so friendly. All they do is sit there and watch you, and they don't bite or anything.....and they never throw neurotic hissy-fits. They are basically cool
But something about them is upsetting those cats. Maybe cucumbers are secret agents for an unknown intelligence service?

The cats reactions were so extreme. It wasn't just the sudden appearance of the cucumbers. The cats went absolutely crazy when they saw the cucumbers. I wonder how they would react to a zucchini?
https://youtu.be/N1N-9AAkESI It seems they don't care or react at all to zucchini. Bananas however are another story. https://youtu.be/0b8vTHjsF0Y This is interesting. I don't like bananas or cucumbers either. I agree with cats one hundred percent. I just don't react quite so strongly. Catherine

The whole idea of cats and cucumbers is funny. I have a good laugh every time I see it.

It is funny but I've also seen a video of cats that couldn't care less,so cats are like people scared of certain things,I saw a funny one of a dog eating a lemon the look on his face was priceless.

The dog and the lemon would be funny. He still ate it didn't he.
I am sure some cats don't care, but the ones that do react to cucumbers are so funny. Catherine

I missed this thread. The video of cats and cucumbers is so funny!
With my amateur-animal-psychologist hat on, my guess would be that they think that it a snake or something.

Yes LPC, maybe they think it's a snake.
I wonder if anyone has ever tested dogs with cucumbers? |
