Manlius, a town in upstate New York is mourning the loss of its beloved swan. Faye, the swan has lived in the town's pond with her mate for over a decade. She has raised many offspring. This year is no exception. Sadly she disappeared with her two babies on May 27. Word went out and someone spotted the babies in a store. They were rescued, but Faye had been eaten! The babies will be raised and released to the pond. Charges will be laid against the thieves.

It is good that they are charging the thieves, but that doesn't bring Faye back. She was safe in a public pond all these years and then someone just took her.
Even thought she was caring for babies, they still just took her.
I wonder what they had planned to do with the babies.
