Aw! That's a kind of sad ending. He could make a ghostly appearance as a poltergeist cat? Invisible of course to humans. And how Mimi feels about that?....or some other thing -say he has to do some special thing for someone else (?) before he can get into Heaven? That would be fun. Or maybe he has made friends with Aliens on the 'other side' and brings them home to play games....(that should just about drive everyone nuts...)
