New lives for northern dogs
#2
It's good to see this teamwork to give the dogs and cats a better chance.

There are still many people who are unsure about spay/neuter....or who live in situations where such routine surgeries are unaffordable because there are no cheap clinics etc. Or in places where it is a very unusual thing to do.

It seems that routine spay and neuter is a fairly recent idea. Nowadays it is the norm. But even in the 90s many people did not spay or neuter their dogs as routine.

Overpopulation, mostly with animals who are free to roam, or whose humans don't keep a careful watch on them, is just going to happen.

But some of those dogs/cats may belong to people in the north...(?) Or are they all strays?
