I know next to nothing about snakes. However, I just had a quick look on the net and it seems quite a few people keep BRBs as pets, without any major problems. The only warning seems to be that when small their natural defence mechanism can cause them to bite a fair bit, but that this dies down when they are more mature, with proper training.
I will duck the question of "yes" or "no"...only you know what you can or can't handle. At least they aren't venemous.
