Henry was at least four, but probably no more than 6. He was a big male and when I fattened him up he looked good. It was this July that he appeared to have a stroke and then he went down hill steadily. Of course even at his best he was still paralyzed, but he did have a best. There were a couple of good years where he looked good and was a healthy boy. He didn't have long, but he was happy. He lived in my kitchen where I could spoil him and talk to him regularly.
His tank is sitting there dark and empty and everywhere there is an absence of Henry.
I am glad I was able to give him a life. I will miss him and the look he gave me when I talked to him.
