Sad loss of a baby Gorilla at Calgary Zoo

Calgary Zoo has had a tragic loss. Eyare, a two year old Western Lowland Gorilla was killed when she was hit by a hydraulic door.
They did everything they could, but she didn't make it. 
It turned out to be human error that caused the wrong door to close. 
The gorillas and the humans involved are deeply saddened by the loss.

I know they will review how the doors work and how the controls are labelled. This will never happen again. It just took one sad mistake to take away a beautiful little life. It is so sad for her mother to have been there and seen her baby killed. I hope the gorilla troop is able to find comfort with each  other.
