Ontario has had a cold winter with a lot of snow. This has put a real strain on wildlife centers as there are so many animals in need.
There just isn't enough food out there and the cold is putting animals at risk.
Fortunately there are wildlife centers to help.

All we can do is help and hope that it is enough. Hopefully all the rescues will be able to return to the wild in the spring.
I guess I knew it was bad when my small bird feeder attracted way more birds than usual.
During a storm I put out seed four times in one day. I was seeing birds that were not my regulars. They all seemed so desperate.
Good thing spring is not far away.
